3.42

「又見菩薩深入諸禪定」下，第五、兩行，頌上見他土菩薩種種因緣信解相貌也，略不答上起塔也，上不見他土法華相故。次此見起塔，今答出法華相故，起塔入滅事在後答也。

From "Also saw bodhisattvas deeply entering into various dhyāna-samādhis" onward, the fifth, two verses, versifies the above seeing of the bodhisattvas' various causes and conditions and marks of faith and understanding in other lands. It briefly omits answering the above building of stūpas, because above, the marks of the Lotus Sūtra were not seen in other lands. Following this, the building of stūpas was seen, and now, because the marks of the Lotus Sūtra are answered, the matters of building stūpas and entering extinction are answered later.
