From 'Why is this?' is the paired explanation of the two wisdoms. The half-phrase 'Tathāgata' explains real wisdom: coming from Suchness, the true mark, and attaining the Buddha-path, he is therefore named Tathāgata, which explains real wisdom. 'Expedient means' explains expedient wisdom. Because of skill in expedient means, being able [to preach through] various causes and conditions, 'knowledge and vision pāramitā' mentions both expedient and real knowledge and vision. The wisdom of all species is called real knowledge, and the Buddha eye is called real vision; the wisdom of the paths is called expedient knowledge, and the Dharma eye is called expedient vision. Because all reach the limit of phenomena and principle, all are named pāramitā. 'All have been fully perfected' means that both expedient and real are ultimate. If one does not adopt the intent of a paired explanation, how could it say 'all have been'? 'All have been' makes the intent of the paired explanation evident.
