「臨欲終時」下，第二，正付家業。又為二：謂一、付業，二、歡喜。初有四：一、付業時，二、命子聚眾為證，三、結會父子，四、正付家業。初，付時，臨欲終者是明時節，化緣將訖，靈山八載說《法華經》，唱入涅槃時也。

From 'When his end was approaching' onward is the second part: formally bequeathing the family estate. This again has two parts: 1. bequeathing the estate, and 2. rejoicing. The first has four points: 1. the time of bequeathing the estate, 2. commanding the son to assemble the crowd as witnesses, 3. concluding the reunion of father and son, and 4. formally bequeathing the family estate. First, concerning the time of bequeathing: 'when his end was approaching' clarifies the timing: when the circumstances for transformation were about to conclude, during the eight years on Vulture Peak preaching the Lotus Sūtra, proclaiming the time of entering nirvāṇa.
