In the contemplation of mind, he first directly matches them to the three; next, although in terms of the middle [truth] it possesses great, many, and superior, it should also be applied to three each for emptiness and conventionality. As for "one mind is all minds," mind and sphere are both mind, and each subsumes all; for "all" does not go beyond the three thousand [realms]. This is fully detailed in the text of the fifth fascicle of the Great Calming and Contemplation. If it were not the three thousand, the subsumption would not be pervasive; if it were not the perfect mind, it would not subsume the three thousand; therefore, the general and specific of the three thousand are all empty, conventional, and middle. One passage being so, all others should follow this; therefore, the meaning of the five flavors above applies throughout, and the text is lodged here.
