「又有師」去，此師意以正宗為體，但在迹正，不知却以本門之正反為流通，而云受持功德，迹與昔教容可有同，本與前經一向永異，翻將永異混亂流通，故不可用。

Regarding “There is also a master,” and so forth: this master’s intention was to take the main body of the sūtra as the essence, but he located it only in the main body of the trace [gate], failing to recognize that he instead turned the main body of the origin gate into transmission, saying that it consists of the merit of receiving and upholding. While the traces may arguably share commonalities with previous teachings, the origin is forever utterly different from prior sūtras; to turn around and mix this eternal difference into transmission is why his view cannot be used.
