《經》云「偏袒」者，此土謝過而肉袒，彼國興敬而偏服，蓋二土風俗不同耳。
Where the Sūtra says "baring the right shoulder": in this land, one bares the flesh to apologize for a fault; in that country, one bares one shoulder to show respect; they are simply different customs of the two lands.
