10.197

此據應迹所從，彼明所證自體，既云等覺，猶有一分報土身在。經從極理，初住即證一分如如，正當圓教，所以伏通斷偏，斷極之伏方名普賢。

This is based on where the responsive traces come from, whereas that [passage] clarifies the self-nature that is realized. Since he is said to be at virtual enlightenment, there still remains one portion of the reward-land body. The sūtra follows the ultimate principle: at the initial abode, one realizes one portion of suchness, which corresponds precisely to the perfect teaching; therefore, it subdues the shared and severs the one-sided, and only the subduing at the ultimate of severing is called Samantabhadra.
