10.27

此品具有授記、領解、流通。分別屬記，從初以說故云「分別」。「二世」者，地踊過去，靈山現在。言「功德」者，出所判也。「此文」等者，若據聞經功德但屬餘殘，今準當得之言復同授記。

This chapter possesses prophecy, understanding, and transmission. 'Discrimination' belongs to prophecy; because it is spoken from the beginning, it is called 'discrimination.' Regarding 'the two periods': the emerging from the earth was in the past; Vulture Peak is in the present. Regarding the word 'merits': it indicates what is determined [therein]. Regarding 'this text,' and so forth: if judged by the merits of hearing the sūtra, it belongs only to the remainder; now, according to the words 'they will attain,' it is again identical to receiving a prophecy.
