From “bringing up traces” downward, it is origin and traces. Regarding “bringing up traces” and so on, this trace dharma is precisely the origin dharma. The origin naturally possesses traces, hence it is called origin and traces; without traces there is nothing to reveal the origin, and these traces are precisely the traces belonging to the origin. Without the origin there is nothing to project traces; therefore, the traces within the two thousand traces are precisely the traces within the two thousand origins, and this is so from top to bottom. The explanation of objections is as before under many acquaintances.
