觀者屬智，智即是佛也。依三昧起照故得是師。雖云觀機，照體是法，如佛眼觀等故有此眼，方能觀機，義之如遣。

The contemplation pertains to wisdom, and wisdom is itself the Buddha. Relying on samādhi it gives rise to illumination; hence it can be a master. Although it is called 'contemplating the capacities', the essence of the illumination is dharma. Just as in the Buddha-eye contemplating and so forth, because there is this eye, he is only then able to contemplate the capacities; the meaning is just like sending forth.
