8.18

不思議事彼此不礙，列十方梵文，正本中先四方、次四維、次上下，此則並是隨譯者意，不知梵本次第如何？然正本列數與此多異。

Inconceivable matters do not obstruct one another. Listing the Brahmās of the ten directions in the text: in the Dharmarakṣa version, first the four cardinal directions, next the four intermediate directions, next above and below; these are entirely according to the translator's intention, and it is unknown what the order was in the Sanskrit manuscript. Yet the numbers listed in the Dharmarakṣa version differ greatly from this.
