Regarding "The three parts in the remissness and retreat above": now it briefly does not versify the first, the halfway road. Nor does it versify the third, being unable to advance further; the text is lacking. Regarding the double emptiness samādhi: the Great Treatise says, "Signlessness of signlessness, up to wishlessness of wishlessness." Explaining the phantom through contemplation of the mind must also be in terms of the perfect [teaching]. In the verse matching the parable, the sūtra says "As a guide for all," and the commentary says "Matches the five hundred": this is the parable of the guide; the five hundred yojanas are spoken of in terms of what is traversed. The fact that the verse above opening [the provisional] does not versify the halfway road is also an abbreviation in the text; it should be said that it also does not versify not advancing; now the verse matches the halfway road, but lacks the other two. "Neither vertical nor horizontal" is fully as in the second and third [fascicles] of the Mohe zhiguan and the three dharmas in the Profound Meaning.
