問：若爾者，三因三果此是祕密。何以故？實無三乘，覆相說言有三種乘，應是祕密；而道理唯有一乘無有三乘，應是顯示，以非覆相說故也。

Question: If that is so, the three causes and three fruitions are what should be secret. Why? In reality there are no three vehicles, yet with veiled characteristics it was taught that there are three kinds of vehicles; this ought to be the secret. By contrast, the principle is that there is only the one vehicle and no three vehicles; this ought to be the revealed, since it is not taught with veiled characteristics.
