十五者釋二德。觀音即是明菩薩字義門，普門即是實德門。字義門者，《釋論》云「菩薩字有無量義」。今釋觀音字有無量功德義，故是字義門。普門明三密實德，故是實德門也。

Fifteenth is the explanation of the two virtues. "Guanyin" is the gateway of the literal meaning of the bodhisattva's name; "Universal Gate" is the gateway of real virtue. As for the gateway of the literal meaning: the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa says, "The name of a bodhisattva has immeasurable meanings." Now, explaining the name of Guanyin has the meaning of immeasurable merit; hence it is the gateway of the literal meaning. "Universal Gate" clarifies the real virtues of the three mysteries; hence it is the gateway of real virtue.
