問：符經須錄、背文宜棄，何故朱紫共貫之、清濁尚混流？唯悟為宗，未詳可領。

Question: What accords with the sūtra must be recorded, and what turns its back on the text should be discarded. Why string vermilion and purple together on the same cord, or let clear and turbid still flow in the same stream? That awakening alone is the central tenet is not yet clearly understood.
