6.103

問：若以疑為索者，凡聖一切人疑，應一切人皆索。而今出門不見有三可索三，門內未見有無，云何索耶？

Question: If doubt is taken to be asking, then when ordinary beings and noble ones—all persons—doubt, all persons should ask. But now, having gone outside the gate, they do not see three carriages and can ask for three; inside the gate, they have not yet seen whether they exist or not, so how could they ask?
