答：雖知成佛久近，亦不得授之。但成佛事大，必前佛後佛相傳，須佛授也。

Answer: Although he knows the duration until becoming a Buddha, he still cannot bestow it. It is simply that becoming a Buddha is a great matter, which must be transmitted between prior Buddhas and later Buddhas; it requires a Buddha to bestow it.
