答：成論師會二名云解授記義，故名解義。引彼論文從明入明等四句，即是解授記義也。今明不然。以授記非小乘正宗，故小乘論不作授記名說。何以知之？《大涅槃》解授記經，引阿逸多作佛事，故知爾也。

Answer: The Tattvasiddhi masters synthesized the two names, stating that it explains the meaning of prediction, and hence is called "explaining the meaning." Citing the treatise's fourfold proposition of "from light entering light" and so forth, they take that to be explaining the meaning of prediction. Now I clarify that this is not so. Because prediction is not the primary doctrine of the Hinayāna, the Hinayāna treatise did not refer to it by the name "prediction." How do we know this? In the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra's explanation of the vyākaraṇa sūtras, it cites the affair of Ajita becoming a Buddha; hence we know this to be so.
