第十二明顯密。從《波若》至《法華》之前謂顯教菩薩、密教二乘，如付財之說，密示大法以為已任；法華教名顯教二乘也。

Twelfth is explaining the explicit and the esoteric. From Prajñā until prior to the Lotus Sūtra, it is called explicitly teaching the bodhisattvas and esoterically teaching the two vehicles, just as the explanation of entrusting the wealth secretly revealed the great Dharma as their own responsibility. The teaching of the Lotus [Sūtra] is called explicitly teaching the two vehicles.
