答：《攝大乘論》明七種生死，界內通名分段，即三種生死。界外有四種生死，謂：方便生死，即變易是也；二因緣生死；三有有生死；四無有生死。後三生死唯菩薩受生，二乘在變易生死內。故菩薩與二乘有共生死義。復有不共義，如彼論廣說也。

Answer: The Mahāyānasaṃgraha explains seven kinds of saṃsāra. Inside the realms, it is collectively named fragmentary [saṃsāra], which consists of three kinds of saṃsāra. Outside the realms, there are four kinds of saṃsāra: namely, expedient saṃsāra, which is transformative [saṃsāra]; second, saṃsāra of causes and conditions; third, saṃsāra of existing being; fourth, saṃsāra of non-existing being. The latter three saṃsāras are undergone only by bodhisattvas, while the two vehicles are within transformative saṃsāra. Therefore, bodhisattvas and the two vehicles share the meaning of common saṃsāra. There is also the meaning of not being in common, as fully explained in that treatise.
