安樂行義八重。第一來意。然此品雖是《法華》之一章，實通辨菩薩之要行。夫欲自行化人、弘道利物者皆須依之。

The meaning of peaceful and joyful practice has eight folds. First, the purpose of coming forth. Although this chapter is one section of the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra, it actually comprehensively distinguishes the essential practices of a bodhisattva. Whoever wishes to cultivate themselves and transform others, and to propagate the path and benefit beings, must rely on it.
