第七明位。始自發心終于十地皆行四行，但地前似而未真，登地唯真不似。真位之中有竝不竝，就竝之中有功用、無功用，如前釋也。但四行就一大體論之必是齊品，但習學不同，或功德已深、智慧猶淺，或自行已勝、化他猶劣，不定也。

Seventh is clarifying the stages. From the initial generation of the aspiration [for awakening] to the tenth stage, one always practices the four practices; but before the stages it is semblance and not yet genuine, whereas upon ascending the stages it is purely genuine and not semblance. Within the genuine stages there are simultaneous and non-simultaneous; with respect to the simultaneous, there are with effort and without effort, as explained before. However, discussing the four practices in terms of their overall substance, they must be of equal level; but their cultivation and learning differ: either merit is already deep while wisdom is still shallow, or one's own practice is already superior while transforming others is still inferior; it is indeterminate.
