問：唯是一長者，何故三種喻耶？初明長者豪貴等，此喻舍那。次明長者著弊垢衣，喻釋迦偏化二乘。後明長者付財，喻說大乘法耶？

Question: There is only one elder; why are there three kinds of metaphors? First clarifying the elder as noble and wealthy, which is a metaphor for Rocana; next clarifying the elder dressed in worn and dirty clothing, which is a metaphor for Śākyamuni exclusively converting the two vehicles; and finally clarifying the elder bequeathing the wealth, which is a metaphor for expounding the Mahāyāna Dharma?
