Third, both uniting and opening: clarifying that the dharmakāya has no arising and ceasing, while the trace body has arising and ceasing—is this not opening two bodies? That which arises does not arise, and that which does not arise arises—Prabhūtaratna and Śākya are precisely this case—is this not uniting? Fourth, origin and trace have the meaning of causes and conditions: they cannot be one, so they do not unite; they cannot be different, so they do not open.
