「諸漏已盡」下，第四、歎德。上羅漢明位，今次明行，即位、行一雙也。二者、上雖有多人，若無勝德，不足引之為證信及顯佛德尊，以有勝德故成上二義。三者、「皆阿羅漢」，此標羅漢名也，「漏盡」以下，釋羅漢名，即標、釋一雙也。

"Their outflows were already exhausted" and so on is, fourthly, praising their virtues. Above, "arhat" clarified their rank; now it next clarifies their practice; this constitutes a pair of rank and practice. Second, although there were many people above, if they lacked supreme virtues, it would not suffice to cite them as evidence for credibility or to manifest the honor of the Buddha's virtue; because they have supreme virtues, the two meanings above are accomplished. Third, "all were arhats" presents the name of arhat; from "outflows exhausted" downward explains the name of arhat; this constitutes a pair of presentation and explanation.
