「心得自在」者，第二、明得也。以不為現在煩惱所使，又不為感未來三有結所使，心得自在。又逮得己利明無為功德，心得自在謂有為功德，故二離而有今後不同，兩得則有為、無為異。從初以來合是得離二門釋竟。

"Their minds attained mastery" is, secondly, clarifying attainment. Because they are not driven by present defilements, nor are they driven by the fetters that induce the future three existences, their minds attained mastery. Moreover, "attained their own benefit" clarifies unconditioned merit, while "their minds attained mastery" refers to conditioned merit; therefore, while the two relinquishments differ in terms of present and future, the two attainments differ in terms of conditioned and unconditioned.
