"Mahātejas Garuḍa King": when devouring dragons it possesses great majesty and virtue, hence it is named accordingly. "Mahākāya" (Great Body): the sūtra says, "The distance between its two wings is 3,360,000 li"; Jambudvīpa can only hold one of its feet. "Mahāpūrṇa" (Great Fullness): other birds that devour dragons are mostly not satiated, but this bird is constantly satiated and full, hence called "Great Fullness". "Rddhi" (As-One-Wishes): this bird has a wish-fulfilling jewel under its neck; or it is said to be "immovable". Some say: one who devours dragons of three modes of birth is called "Great Fullness"; one who can devour dragons of all four modes of birth, possessing sovereign power, is called "As-One-Wishes".
