「迦樓羅」者，此云金翅鳥，以其翅頭即有金色，故以為名。《海龍王經》翻為鳳凰。
"Garuḍa": here translated as "golden-winged bird"; because the tips of its wings are golden in color, it is named accordingly. The Sāgaranāgarāja Sūtra translates it as "phoenix".
