"The sentient beings therein" is the second part: the sentient beings of the ten directions witnessing the auspicious signs. The signs in the previous two locations largely benefited this assembly; now the manifestation of the five supernatural powers is largely to benefit the ten directions, hence it explains that the ten directions witnessed them. This also divides into four distinctions: first, explaining that they witnessed them and rejoiced. From "Immediately the gods" downward is the second, the gods crying out in announcement to urge rejoicing in accord and making offerings. From "Those sentient beings" downward is the third, explaining the compliance of the ten directions. From "The various items scattered" downward is the fourth, the Buddha again manifesting two kinds of supernatural powers: the first is forming a jeweled canopy, which signifies the non-duality of the accomplished dharmakāya, namely the latter section of the sūtra; "unobstructed throughout like a single Buddha-land" together reveals that what is ridden is not differentiated, meaning the initial section of the sūtra, in order to signify that the ten directions equally awaken to these two.
