From “If there is a woman” onward is, third, explaining the name “observing the physical bodies of the world.” Paying homage and making offerings constitute physical karma; observing physical karma is named “observing the physical bodies of the world.” Moreover, the preceding eliminated their having perils, and having perils is twofold: the seven perils are perils to the body, while the three poisons are perils to the mind. Now it eliminates the peril of lacking, which is also twofold: 1. lacking a son; 2. lacking a daughter. Third, the preceding was great compassion removing suffering, whereas this is great compassion bestowing happiness. Fourth, the preceding gave sentient beings the fruits of practice, whereas this is able to fulfill the fruits of sentient beings’ vows. Practice has two practices, and vows also have two vows.
