就七行偈開為二別：初一行，明供養舍利者，如釋迦入涅槃後，從娑羅雙樹舉佛尸，於天冠寺七日供養佛全身待迦葉來，七日後方闍維之。供養碎身方乃起塔供養也。又供養舍利有二種：一者、直供養不起塔，以七寶凾盛之如供養佛身；二、起塔供養也。

Concerning the seven verse lines, they are divided into two distinct parts: First, one line clarifies making offerings to relics. This is like how, after Śākyamuni entered nirvāṇa, the Buddha's body was carried from the twin sāla trees and offerings were made to the Buddha's whole body at Tianguan Temple for seven days while waiting for Kāśyapa to arrive, and only after seven days was it cremated. Only after offerings were made to the fragmented relics were stūpas then erected to make offerings. Furthermore, making offerings to relics is of two kinds: first, making offerings directly without erecting a stūpa, placing them in seven-jewel caskets just like making offerings to the Buddha's body; second, erecting stūpas and making offerings.
