「本從無數佛」下，第二兩偈，舉因釋果。二偈為二：初偈舉諸佛因以釋諸佛果，次偈舉釋迦因以釋釋迦果。又初偈舉因釋果，明果深妙眾生不解；次偈舉因釋果，明唯佛能解。又初偈正辨於佛所行因，故果義甚深；次偈明行因得果，故果義微妙。

From “Originally, from countless buddhas” onwards, the second two verses cite the causes to explain the fruits. The two verses have two parts: the first verse cites the causes of all buddhas to explain the fruits of all buddhas; the next verse cites the causes of Śākyamuni to explain the fruits of Śākyamuni. Furthermore, the first verse cites the causes to explain the fruits, showing that the fruit is profound and subtle and sentient beings do not understand; the next verse cites the causes to explain the fruits, showing that only buddhas can understand. Moreover, the first verse directly discerns the causes practiced with the buddhas, so the meaning of the fruit is extremely profound; the next verse shows that by practicing the cause the fruit was attained, so the meaning of the fruit is subtle and marvelous.
