「是華光佛滅度之後」下，第八、明住持果。大論佛法凡有四時：一、佛在世時；二、佛雖去世法儀未改謂正法時；三、佛去世久道化訛替謂像法時；四、轉復微末謂末法時。今但舉初二攝末屬像也。

From “After the parinirvāṇa of this Padmaprabha Buddha” onwards is eighth: explaining the fruit of upholding. Broadly speaking, the Buddha Dharma has four periods: first, when the Buddha is present in the world; second, when the Buddha has passed away but the Dharma forms remain unaltered, which is termed the period of the True Dharma; third, when the Buddha has long passed away and the guidance of the Path has degenerated, which is termed the period of the Counterfeit Dharma; fourth, when it has further declined into triviality, which is termed the period of the Final Dharma. Here, it merely cites the first two, subsuming the final under the counterfeit.
