Although there is the initial general parable, it still does not depart from the above four meanings; but because he wished to clarify generally the virtues of the one who transforms and the faults and afflictions of those who are transformed, there is the general parable. Furthermore, it shows the method of understanding the meaning: the general first and the particular later; and moreover, about to clarify the transformation of beings, he first praised the Buddha as possessing the virtue to transform beings; therefore he spoke the general parable. The reason there is the sixth parable, of not being false, is that this parable also has no separate substance; it is merely an evaluation of the preceding meaning of 'three first and one later'. For these causes and conditions, six parables are opened.
