就總譬中更開六譬：一、化主譬；二、化處譬；三、教門譬；四、所化人譬；五、化意譬；六、根性譬。十方三世諸佛出世施化皆有此六，釋迦出五濁世亦明此六也。就此六中，化主、教門是能化事，餘之四種是所化事。

Within the general parable, it is further divided into six parables: 1. the parable of the transforming master; 2. the parable of the place of transformation; 3. the parable of the teaching gateway; 4. the parable of the persons being transformed; 5. the parable of the intent of transformation; 6. the parable of capacities and natures. When the Buddhas of the ten directions and the three times appear in the world to dispense transformation, all have these six; Śākyamuni's appearance in the world of five defilements also clarifies these six. Within these six, the transforming master and the teaching gateway pertain to the one who transforms; the remaining four kinds pertain to those who are transformed.
