7.89

「世尊！爾時窮子」下，第四、父子相見譬。於一形內大乘善根成就必得領悟，為子見父也；佛見其一形內必悟大乘，如父見子。就文為二：初、明子見父；次、明父見子。

From "World-Honoured One! At that time, the destitute son..." onward is the fourth part, the parable of the father and son meeting each other. That within a single bodily existence the wholesome roots of the Mahāyāna are brought to fruition and one is bound to attain comprehension is the son seeing the father; that the Buddha sees that within a single bodily existence [the son] is bound to awaken to the Mahāyāna is like the father seeing the son. As for the text, it has two parts: first, explaining the son seeing the father; next, explaining the father seeing the son.
