7.90

子見父中有四句，合之為三：初、明見父緣由；次、正明見父；後、辨正見父不識起避畏心也。「傭賃展轉」者，由傭賃展轉故至父舍。由修行增長冥資大乘，如遇到父舍，父舍者大乘正理也。必應悟理與理交接，如至舍也。

The son seeing the father contains four phrases, combined into three: first, explaining the causes and conditions for seeing the father; next, properly explaining seeing the father; and later, discerning that upon properly seeing the father, not recognizing him, he aroused a mind of avoidance and fear. "Hiring out his labor, passing from place to place": because he hired out his labor and passed from place to place, he reached his father's house. Because of the increase of cultivation secretly aiding the Mahāyāna, it is like happening upon his father's house; the father's house is the correct principle of the Mahāyāna. Inevitably coming to awaken to the principle and joining with the principle is like reaching the house.
