「佛告諸比丘」下，第二，一長行一偈，頌廣明過去結緣之事。就文亦二：初長行，次偈頌。長行又二：第一、明過去結緣之始；第二、明現在復相值更為說法。此二是過現始終也。

From "The Buddha addressed the monks" onward, second, is one prose section and one verse section, extensively explaining the events of forming conditions in the past. Regarding the text, there are also two parts: first the prose, next the verses. The prose again has two parts: first, explaining the beginning of forming conditions in the past; second, explaining encountering one another again in the present and expounding the Dharma for them once more. These two are the beginning and end across past and present.
