From "When this Dharma was spoken" onward is the second [part], clarifying awakening to the Path. Wanting to show that the teaching is not in vain, he therefore clarifies the attainment of the Path. As for "did not accept any phenomena," because their minds were without craving and attachment, it is called not accepting. Someone says: Because the contemplation of emptiness was directly present and they did not accept the continuity of the three existences, it is called not accepting. Someone says: When a person who has attained the Path has their five sense faculties take the five sense objects as conditions, they do not give rise to afflictions; because they do not give rise to afflictions, they do not create evil karma; because they have no evil karma, they do not receive the retribution of the three evil destinies; therefore it is called not accepting.
