From "The World-Honoured One of immeasurable wisdom" onwards, the verses summarize the second [sub-section] above: the proximate causes and conditions of forging karmic bonds. Above there were four: first, accepting the request to preach the lesser Dharma; second, the sixteen princes requesting the preaching of the Great [Vehicle]; third, accepting the request to preach the Great [Vehicle]; fourth, entering samādhi after finishing the preaching of the sūtra. Here they are summarized in full. Within the section above on accepting the request to preach the lesser [Dharma], there were three parts: first, formally accepting the request; second, explaining the preaching of the Dharma at one assembly; third, explaining the preaching of the Dharma at multiple assemblies. Here they are summarized in full. Half a verse summarizes the first; two and a half verses summarize the second. "Six hundred myriad kotis of gai": the prose text explains six hundred myriad nayutas; here it says gai, which is a number of this land used to substitute for nayuta there. From "At the time of the second preaching of the Dharma" onwards, two verses summarize the preaching of the Dharma at multiple assemblies. "Then the sixteen princes" summarizes the second [part], requesting the preaching of the great Dharma. Above there were three parts: first, going forth from the household for the sake of making the request, summarized by half a verse; second, the formal request, summarized by one and a half verses. It omits summarizing the third part, the king's retinue. "The Buddha knew the youths' thoughts" summarizes the third [part], accepting the request to preach the great Dharma. Above there were three parts: first, preaching the teaching; second, their varied awakenings; third, explaining the time and season of preaching the sūtra. Here, two and a half verses only summarize the first part. "After that Buddha had preached the sūtra" summarizes entering samādhi after finishing the preaching of the sūtra. Above there were three parts: first, explaining the entry into samādhi, summarized by half a verse; next, explaining the abiding in samādhi, summarized by one line; third, explaining the duration of abiding in samādhi, also summarized by one line.
