「高五百」下，第四、敘塔形量。五百表法身無生滅，二百五十表應迹有生滅，以實勝權故相挍一倍。

From "five hundred [yojanas] in height" downward is the fourth, recounting the shape and dimensions of the stūpa. Five hundred symbolizes that the dharmakāya is without arising and ceasing; two hundred and fifty symbolizes that the responsive traces have arising and ceasing. Because the real surpasses the expedient, they are compared as double.
