Next, explaining the persons who can propagate it, there are four commands and four explanations: the first stanza and a half is the direct command, and the next two stanzas explain the intent of the command. In saying "You should know this intent," there are two intents: first, the desire to reveal that the buddhas come to circulate the Dharma; second, the desire to reveal that the truly eternal manifests extinction, and the origin is one while the traces are many. Since the intent lies here, it is said, "You should know this intent." From "Sons of the Buddha" onward is the second, one command and one explanation: the first stanza is the command, and the next four stanzas are the explanation. From "Good sons" onward is the third, one command and one explanation: the first stanza is the command, and the next nineteen stanzas cite six difficult things to explain it. This is divided into seven points: the first five stanzas explain the difficulty of broadly expounding it; the next two stanzas explain the difficulty of copying it; the next two stanzas explain the difficulty of reading it; the next two stanzas explain the difficulty of expounding it for one person; the next three stanzas explain the difficulty of asking about it; the next three stanzas explain the difficulty of upholding it; the final two verses praise the teaching, explaining and establishing the six difficulties.
