「世尊我等」下，第二、述昔迷也。「今乃知之如無智者」下，第三、明今悟。「所以者何」下，第四、解釋。明應得大而保小自足，故是無智之人，即釋上如無智者也。

From "World-Honoured One, we..." downward is the second part: recounting past delusion. From "now we know this, like persons without wisdom..." downward is the third part: clarifying present awakening. From "Why is this?" downward is the fourth part: the explanation. It clarifies that they should have attained the great yet preserved the small and took it as sufficient, and were therefore persons without wisdom; this explains the preceding "like persons without wisdom."
