昔有天竺僧弼法師云：「此經有三義故勝：一者、眾經不泯三為一，此經獨三泯；二、持者現得六根清淨，三、普賢等諸菩薩親乘六牙白象來護人通法。」故障累內消、祥瑞外發。今明不正有此三事。此經是眾經之實體也，諸佛之祕密藏，融釋大小該羅今昔，理致淵遠超四句之表，有十事奇特出眾經之外。言十事者：

In the past, Dharma Master Sengbi of India said: 'This sūtra is superior because of three meanings: first, other sūtras do not eliminate the three into the one, but this sūtra alone eliminates the three; second, upholder[s] obtain purification of the six sense faculties in the present; third, Samantabhadra and other bodhisattvas personally ride six-tusked white elephants to protect the persons and spread the Dharma.' Therefore, internal obstacles and encumbrances are dissolved, and auspicious portents manifest outwardly. Now I explain that it is not merely these three matters. This sūtra is the real essence of all sūtras, the secret treasury of all buddhas; it harmonizes and resolves the Great and Small, encompasses past and present, its principle is profound and far-reaching, transcending the four propositions, and it has ten extraordinary matters that surpass other sūtras. As for the ten matters:
