Tenth, the expedient of the body and the reality of the body are inconceivable. Other sūtras either merely explain the birth and Dharma [bodies], or directly distinguish the three bodies; but here, Prabhūtaratna wells forth to display the true-constant and responsive extinction, while the emanations gather like shadows to show the fundamental unity and many traces, simultaneously opening the near and revealing the distant, encompassing ancient and modern, causing [practitioners] to realize that responsive extinction is hard to encounter, to know that length and shortness are non-dual, to make the power of the bodhicitta firm and keen, and to double and redouble the recollection-of-the-buddha samādhi. This is called the tenth: the expedient of the body and the reality of the body being inconceivable. The latter two matters are the great tenets of the entire sūtra, which in turn explain the preceding eight matters. The reason there are the preceding eight inconceivables is precisely because this sūtra fully opens the two expedients and doubly reveals the two realities.
