第九者、明乘權乘實不可思議。如三藏等教唯辨小乘，《波若》諸經但明大乘，未若《法花》說實歸本泯寂異途，開會一三融釋大小，使羊鹿無息駕之累，白牛有直進之功。是為乘權乘實不可思議也。

Ninth, the explanation of the expedient of the vehicle and the reality of the vehicle is inconceivable. Teachings such as the Tripiṭaka solely distinguish the Small Vehicle; Prajñā sūtras only explain the Great Vehicle; yet they are not like the Lotus Sūtra, which speaks of reality, returns to the fundamental, extinguishes and calms divergent paths, opens and converges the one and the three, and harmonizes and resolves the Great and the Small, so that the sheep and deer carts are freed from the toil of halting, and the white ox has the merit of advancing directly. This is called the expedient of the vehicle and the reality of the vehicle being inconceivable.
