三者《大品經》云「住於二法魔不能壞，一者知一切法空，二者不捨一切眾生」。若見有眾生不知諸法空，即墮有邊，為魔所壞；若知諸法捨於眾生，則墮空邊，亦為魔所壞。今具此二法，則遠離二邊常行中道，即魔不能壞，堪於後世為物弘經，謂難壞法師。

Third: the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā states: "Abiding in two dharmas, Māra cannot destroy one: first, knowing the emptiness of all dharmas; second, not abandoning any sentient beings." If one perceives sentient beings to exist and does not know the emptiness of all dharmas, one falls into the extreme of existence and is destroyed by Māra. If one knows [the emptiness of] dharmas but abandons sentient beings, one falls into the extreme of emptiness and is likewise destroyed by Māra. Now, possessing these two dharmas, one departs far from the two extremes and constantly practices the Middle Way, so that Māra cannot destroy one, and one is fit to propagate the sūtra for the sake of beings in later ages; this refers to the indestructible Dharma master.
