解妨者，問：總持有四，為得法、義、辨才、詞無礙解。如次說四，此說何者？答：上來長行法、義持，今此呪持，為護前二所以明之。無得無生忍，總持也。

Regarding resolving objections: Question: There are four kinds of dhāraṇī: attaining unobstructed knowledge of Dharma, meaning, eloquence, and expression. If four are sequentially spoken of, which one is spoken of here? Answer: The preceding prose sections concerned retention of Dharma and meaning; now this concerns retention through incantations (mantra/dhāraṇī), elucidated precisely to protect the former two. Non-attainment of the forbearance of non-arising is total retention.
