4.101

方廣有二相：一說菩薩道，二法廣多，極高大故、時長遠故。此通聲聞亦有方廣，今取《涅槃》具二為正。

Vaipulyas have two characteristics: first, teaching the bodhisattva path; second, the dharmas are broad and numerous, because they are extremely high and vast, and because the time is long. This generally extends to śrāvakas also having vaipulya; now taking the *Nirvāṇa-sūtra* which possesses both is correct.
