贊曰：下二頌念隨權誘，分二：初頌聞之敬讚，後頌思順彼行。此初也。有本云「稱南無諸佛」，應從「喜稱」為正，正言納慕亦言納莫，此云敬禮。若言伴談或言伴題，此云禮拜，舊云和南訛略也。

Eulogy: The following two verses concern the thought of following expedient induction, divided into two parts: the first verse concerns reverently praising upon hearing it; the latter verse concerns thinking to follow their practice. This is the first. Some editions read: "Chanted namo to all buddhas"; reading "joyfully chanted" should be taken as standard. The correct pronunciation is *namo* or *namaḥ*, which here means reverent homage. If one says *vande* or *vandana*, this means paying obeisance; the old term *henan* was a corrupt abbreviation.
